Analysing Newspapers.
All of the newspapers I will be analysing will contain normal topics such as Political events, crime, business, entertainment, the society and sports. I will be analysing both local newspapers and non local newspapers.
This newspaper is not a local newspaper. This newspaper is sold all over England. The Sun newspaper always uses bright bold colour that attract you straight away. Their Logo is also their name. The white font on top of the red background really makes it stand out when on the shelf at a shop. The Sun always have a very bold front page headline and picture which automatically draws you to it. The white font infront of the black background makes it stand out. The menu down the side of the papers front page shows another story. there is also a competition shown in the left bottom corner of the menu which means it is inside.
Kent Messenger.
As you can see the Kent messenger is a lot different from the Sun. The layout is also different as the menu is on the right side and shows there is a lot more inside the newspaper than the Sun as it has small information boxes. The main headline is also not as bold and eye catching. There is also more text and adverts on the front page.
The colours used on the front page are bright and there are many used which attract readers. The Kent Messenger logo is very basic using the primary colours black and yellow. The logo is very simple its self as it only has a KM and a white horse in it.
This newspaper is a local newspaper for people who live in Kent. The articles in this newspaper focus on the local news and highlights happening in the local area.
Metro.
This newspaper is made for people to read when commuting to a from London. This paper is free and can be picked up at train stations. The main topics in this newspaper are South east weather, news from all over the world, travel , sports , politics from the capital, London.
This news paper had a bold Masthead. The layout is very simple and basic. The photo takes up most of the front page which makes you focus on that the most. The menu on the left side also give information about whats inside such as , best places to eat out etc.
